Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-14
Expert Agents Near Me is committed to making our directory usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Finding a real estate agent or a mortgage lender shouldn't depend on how you browse the web.
Standard we target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Built-in accessibility tools
Every page includes an accessibility widget — the button in the bottom-left corner. It is a first-party feature; we don't load a third-party overlay. From it you can:
- Increase text size in steps, without breaking the layout.
- Switch on high contrast for stronger text and border definition.
- Underline all links so they're distinguishable without relying on color.
- Reduce motion to suppress transitions and animations. We also honor your operating system's “reduce motion” setting automatically.
Your choices are saved to your browser and reapplied on your next visit.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML landmarks and heading structure on every page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, typeaheads, and forms — no mouse required.
- Visible focus states and ARIA labels on interactive controls.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA for body text and controls.
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a finish line. Some embedded third-party content (maps, future partner widgets) may not yet fully conform. Where we find a gap, we prioritize a fix or provide an accessible alternative.
Report a barrier
If you hit something that doesn't work for you, tell us — it helps us fix it for everyone. Email accessibility@expertagentsnearme.com with the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using. We aim to respond within five business days.
